XSI is the project of Frenchmen Dj Bio aka Jean-Marc Segondy & Dj Spawn aka Barthélémy Bayona. Jean-Marc was born in Paris, France in 1978. Barth was born in St Barthélémy, on the tiny Caribbean island of Guadeloupe in 1984, before moving to France at age 17.They met in 2002 while both djing in Paris at the legendary GIBUS Club, well known in France to have been the starting point for many famous electronic artists such as Daft Punk, Bob Sinclar as well as rock bands like The Police. After a year of playing together, they started making trance music at the beginning of 2003, releasing their first track at the end of the same year. After releasing around 10 tracks on various compilations they took time out to work on more mature material - releasing their debut album "Warning Zone" in August 2006 on fellow Frenchman Talamasca's Mind Control imprint. This led to a flood of international bookings which saw them playing at events in Japan, Brazil, Russia, Spain and many more countries. They have collaborated with fellow premier league psytrance artists Mad Maxx, Nomad, Quality Sound, Lucid, Pure Pressure and of course Talamasca, now to be released on Phantasm as the XSI & Friends album.
